Pilates for Adults
ABOUT JANEL WALDSCHMIDT At the age of 17 years old, she fell 42 feet into a ravine. The impact fractured her lumbar 1-5, pelvis, hip and completely shattered the lumbar 2 . Two surgeries later, she was left with a fused lumbar. She was told that she would be “Lucky” to be in constant pain and would lack the ability to walk properly. Then she found Pilates. Now, she is pain free. Not only does she have the ability to walk, but she was able to have a normal pregnancy “twice”, which the doctor stated would be an impossibility! As the Senior Instructor for Almaden Pilates. She has trained in the Polestar Method of Pilates. Most recently, she completed certification through the Polestar Reforming New York Pilates Company. It is both her intention and passion to share her learning with others. At Almaden Pilates, we specialize in both rehabilitative and core strengthening through Pilates mat classes.
